Cap Maison: The perfect St. Lucian hideaway

When it comes to choosing the perfect Caribbean hideaway you want to make sure your choice ticks all your boxes, whatever those boxes may be.

An unrivalled location

The Caribbean island of St. Lucia is known throughout the world for its stunning natural beauty, which may make it hard when deciding which part of the island to head for, but the north west coast takes some beating.

On one side the beautiful rolling hills offer incredible views of the calm and crystal clear Carribbean Sea and on the other the invigorating Atlantic Ocean crashes against the rocks.

And it’s here, above the evocatively named Smuggler Cove beach, that one of the island’s most romantic hideaways, Cap Maison is located. Set within a lush four-acre cliff-top estate, it’s a great place to relax and take in the surroundings or explore the bustling and chic Rodney Bay that is but moments away.

More than romance

But it’s not just romance on offer here.

Adam Gobat, Director of Cap Maison describes the resort as not only a place for romance seekers but as a destination for foodies and adventure lovers alike – a wow factor destination!

Activities and facilities

Hungry? Why not try the Cliff at Cap restaurant situated in one of St. Lucia’s most spectacular locations. Imagine enjoying world class food, cooked by award winning chefs, sat with tropical cocktail in hand watching the sun set. Bliss.

Want to learn to cook the food you’ve enjoyed? Then why not take one of the cookery classes on offer every Saturday . Starting with a visit to the nearby Castries market, you’ll select the delicious local produce to make authentic West Indian dishes, under the supervision of Head Chef Craig Jones.

To burn off some of this fabulous food, you can make the most of beach club’s fantastic water sports from snorkelling to windsurfing, water skiing to kite surfing – take your pick.

Back on dry land you can explore the surrounding scenery by walking and jogging or you can head to the nearby golf course, spa or gym.

And, if music’s your thing then Adam Gobat suggests visiting St Lucia in May for their annual St. Lucia Jazz Festival.

The best place in the world to propose…?

I first came across Cap Maison when I was in a hotel room in Canada watching the American matchmaking hit TV show ‘The Bachelor’! Due to the success of the series, Cap Maison now has its very own Proposal Concierge. With their own luxury yacht to hire and the world’s only Champagne Zip Line it’s no wonder no one has said no!

St Lucia is beautiful, I got married there, it truly is the Jewel of the Caribbean crown. Everything about the island is amazing from the walk in Volcano to the Tropical Rainforest to the Beautiful Beaches, not forgetting the friendly St Lucians.
